Plate · Last updated: June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Plate mobile application ("Plate", "we", "us"), a product of TechToAll LLC, collects, uses, and protects your information. By using Plate you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see your raw password).
- Meal photos. Photos you take or choose for analysis.
- Meal & nutrition data. The meals you log, the nutrition results generated for them, and any descriptions you type.
- Goals & preferences. Your daily nutrition targets and selected diet type.
- Chat messages. Questions and corrections you send to the in-app assistant.
How we use your information
- To analyze your meals and generate nutrition information.
- To save your meal history and show your daily progress.
- To provide personalized, goal- and diet-aware recommendations.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the app.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Plate:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, and hosting. Your account, meal data, and photos are stored on Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — your meal photos and descriptions are sent to Anthropic's API to generate nutrition analysis and assistant responses. This data is processed solely to produce your results and is not used to train AI models.
Data storage & retention
Your data is associated with your account and stored until you delete it or request account deletion. You can delete individual meals at any time from within the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access rules that restrict each account's data to that account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children's privacy
Plate is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
